China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemicals Importers & Exporters (CCCMC)

Founded on September 1, 1988, China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemicals Importers & Exporters (CCCMC) is a nationwide and industrial non-profit social organization formed voluntarily by units registered within the territory of the People's Republic of China according to law and engaged in economic activities in regard to metals & minerals and related products, non-metallic minerals and related products, hardware products, building materials products, petroleum and related products, chemical raw materials and related products, as well as the upstream and downstream industrial chains in the above fields. With a membership of more than 6,000, the annual total import and export volume of CCCMC’s member enterprises accounts for nearly 30% of the industry. Each year, more than 250 CCCMC member enterprises enter the Top 500 enterprises of China in terms of import and export volume, which basically represents the overall strength and level of China's minmetals and chemicals industry.

The major functions of CCCMC are to abide by the laws and administrative regulations, to coordinate the import and export activities of members according to the constitution; to ensure the normal import and export operation and interests of members; to make coordination efforts in responding to the anti-dumping lawsuits from abroad; to make investigations and researches on the international market; to provide information and consulting service to the members; to mediate disputes between the members; to convey to the government the demands and ideas of the members and put forward policy recommendations to the government; to supervise and guide the legal operation of the members; to coordinate and promote overseas investment of energy and mineral resources; to participate in the organization of export commodities fairs; to make suggestions to the law enforcement agencies, or according to business rules, to take punitive action against the members who violate the coordination regulations; to fulfill other duties assigned by the government or requested by the member.
